THREE Game Changers have been selected for the AFLW All-Australian squad for their 2022 seasons.

The trio of Kerryn Harrington, Breann Moody and Mimi Hill have been named in the initial 40-person AFL Women’s All-Australian squad.

It’s no surprise to see skipper Harrington in the squad, having been selected for the past three consecutive years in the All-Australian squad, making the final team in 2019 and 2020.

With a strong backline to support her, Harrington still led from the front, playing her best game for the season against the Cats where she recorded career-high total in disposals at 100 per cent efficiency.

Tackling some of the toughest forwards in the competition, Harrington was able to keep her opponent out of the game consistently while allowing her other backs to generate run and carry from defence.

Moody made her first All-Australian team last year, and had another impressive year stepping up as the senior ruck after the departure of Alison Downie.

Working alongside Jess Good in her first season of football, Moody regularly sat atop the table for both total hitouts and hitouts to advantage, solidifying her spot as one of if not the best ruck in the AFLW competition.

Her impact around the ground was also evident in 2022, recording career-high averages for disposals and tackles.

Rounding things off from a Carlton perspective is Hill, who has received her first All-Australian squad selection: an impressive feat for the 19-year old who only played six games this year.

Hlil’s return to footy has been well-documented, setting an impressive standard in her first game back after an ACL injury and elevated her performance with each game.

A very real chance for the 2022 NAB AFLW Rising Star award, Hill set the competition alight with her midfield class and ability to find the football: she ranked No.1 among all Rising Star nominees for disposals, uncontested possessions and AFLCA Champion Player of the Year award votes.
