THREE Game Changers have been named in the initial AFLW 22under22 squad.
The Velcro duo of Maddy Prespakis and Georgia Gee are featured in the squad for the consecutive year, with both players going on to make the 22under22 year in 2020 and 2021.
It's no surprise to see these names in the squad again after continuing their stellar form in 2022, with Prespakis also being named vice-captain in last year's 22under22 team.
Prespakis and Gee become two of just five players to have been previously selected in the final 22 and are looking to be selected for a third time in as many seasons.
The two-time Carlton best-and-fairest Prespakis played all 10 games this season, averaging 20 disposals, including a career-best 29 in the Round 2 clash with Geelong.
Gee continued to build on her game in 2022, with the speedy forward also playing every game, using her run and efficient kicking to set up her teammates as well as kicking five of her own goals.
For the first time, Mimi Hill has been selected in the AFLW 22under22 squad.
In her well-documented comeback from an ACL injury, Hill had an outstanding return to football on the way to becoming one of the standout choices for the 2022 NAB AFL Women's Rising Star award, after being nominated her first game back for the year.
Averaging 21.5 disposals in her six games, Hill's silky midfield play held her teammates in good stead, ranking No.1 at Carlton for average disposals and No.2 for metres gained, contested possessions and clearances.
