THE BLUES were outmatched by the ladder-leading Bombers in Sunday afternoon’s game at IKON Park; however, the side showed some pluck with their commanding final quarter.
This is what Tom had to say about the AFLW listed players.
Lauren Brazzale
Stats: 18 disposals, four marks.
'Brazz' was one of our better players for the day. She had 18 disposals, 16 of those were by foot. She really provided us heaps of metres gained, she really had a good afternoon.
Charlotte Wilson
Stats: Eight disposals, two marks, two tackles.
Charlotte played down back for the day, she played on a very good player for Essendon and kept her goalless, so she was actually really important for us.
Annie Lee
Stats: 14 disposals, six tackles.
Annie Lee had 14 disposals and she played down back. Annie has certainly been working on her defensive game the last few weeks, so it was really impressive for Annie to have six tackles, which was positive.
Imogen Milford
Stats: Eight disposals, three goals.
Imogen kicked three goals for the 'Baggers. Imogen is really starting to hit the contest with intent now and it’s really pleasing to see her providing a really good presence up forward, so it was a really good game from Imogen.
Brooke Walker
Stats: 14 disposals, seven tackles.
We know Brooke is very creative around the contest, she had 14 disposals, but what was most impressive about Brooke was she actually had seven tackles and her defensive pressure was fantastic in the forward line.
Charlotte Hammans
Stats: Eight disposals, four marks.
Charlotte started in the forward line, but she actually looked most dangerous when we moved her to the wing, where she provided heaps of run, was really creative and was really damaging with her powerful right foot.
Brooke Vernon
Stats: Three disposals, one tackle.
Brooke started down back. Unfortunately, Brooke copped a big knock when she was involved in a tackle and had to be stretchered off the ground. We’re thinking of Brooke: she has suffered a concussion, we wish her well with her recovery and we look forward to having her back out there with the 'Baggers soon.
