A PERFECT 10, and another handful of Game Changers.
The coaches’ votes for Round 8 reflect Carlton’s performance on Sunday night, with six Blues polling votes (for the second consecutive week) in the 18-point win.
It was no surprise that both coaches saw Gab Pound as the standout player of the evening, receiving the maximum 10 for an exemplary showing in defence.
Recording a game-high 21 disposals, Pound also contributed 11 intercept possessions, proving to be a brick wall against a persistent Giants outfit.
In one of her best performances of the season, Maddy Prespakis continued to be no stranger to polling in the AFLW Champion Player of the Year award.
Collecting 20 disposals and a goal, Prespakis received fours from both sets of coaches as the best player on the ground behind the excellent Pound.
On a night where they become the first AFLW player to kick 50 career goals, Darcy Vescio recorded three votes — the same amount as young midfielder, Mimi Hill.
It was the fourth consecutive game where Hill has received votes, continuing her streak of polling performances since her remarkable return back in Round 5.
Rounding out the votes were Kerryn Harrington and Abbie McKay, with the captain once again producing a stoic defensive performance while McKay recorded multiple goals — and tripled her career goal tally in the process.
