It’s widely expected Brisbane’s Sam Docherty will become a Blue by the end of the week, while there are reports that Mick Malthouse may have his sights on another recruit.
After opening the trade window with a bang, the Blues have been pretty quiet for the past week.
Here’s a recap of Carlton’s activity:
• Shaun Hampson traded to Richmond in exchange for a second round draft pick, now No.32 overall
• Eddie Betts departed for Adelaide after accepting a lucrative offer
• Dale Thomas became a Blue a deal was done under the AFL’s free agency rules
That leaves Carlton with the following draft picks, after compensation picks were allocated:
13, 32 (traded from Richmond), 33, 51, 69, 87, 105, 123
And here’s what’s being said about the Blues today:

“Brisbane’s former no. 12 draft pick Sam Docherty will be lured for pick 33, but the Blues will keep trade bait Josh Bootsma after lukewarm interest from West Coast.
Key forward Levi Casboult and former first round pick Kane Lucas will stay, while veteran Heath Scotland could be retained on the list as a nominated rookie.” – Jon Ralph, Herald Sun
