FANS will have a new opportunity to get involved at this year’s Carlton Respects AFLW game, with the ‘Walk for Respect and Equality’ set to take place prior to next week’s game.
The inaugural Carlton Respects Walk for Respect and Equality will take place ahead of the Game Changers' Round 5 game against the Crows on Sunday 6 February.
Continuing the great work of the Carlton Respects initiative, which aims to educate our community about gender equality with the aim of preventing violence against women, the walk will give fans the opportunity to come together and show their support for the cause.
Since its launch in 2016, Carlton Respects has successfully developed both a classroom and workplace program to raise awareness and educate participants in the hope of one day ending violence against women.
Participants will walk from the front of the Carlton Football Club around Princes Park to Gate 4, where they will then be able to enter the ground to watch the annual Carlton Respects game.
The first 200 registrations will also receive a free ticket into the Carlton v Adelaide AFLW Carlton Respects Game following the Walk, with thanks to the City of Melbourne. Fans are encouraged to join us on this special occasion and are able to register for the Walk for Respect and Equality by clicking here.
Registrations are essential due to COVID protocols and places are limited.
Registrants will receive more information about the event closer to the date.
