The Game Changers’ Round 2 fixture against Brisbane on Saturday will not proceed as planned due to multiple Lions players entering AFL Health and Safety Protocols.
Carlton will instead remain in Victoria and will now be taking on Geelong at GMHBA Stadium at 7:10pm AEDT on Saturday night.
Carlton General Manager of Women’s Football Brett Munro says the Club will continue to be flexible with fixture arrangements moving forward.
“While it is unfortunate we’ll no longer be travelling to Maroochydore this weekend we look forward to the chance to take on the Cats,” he said.
“Our preparation remains unchanged in that we will continue to focus on quality opposition, while also providing a great opportunity for our Victorian fans to come and see the team in action and we hope to be able to visit our Queensland fans sometime later in the season.
“We thank the AFL for their efforts in navigating through this current climate and we will continue to work with them on changes to schedule as required.”
