OVERVIEW
Liam Jones has played nine games in his first season for Carlton after being traded from the Western Bulldogs at the end of 2014.

In his first game in navy blue, the season opener against Richmond at the MCG, the forward kicked two goals and laid four tackles.

Jones finished the season ranked second at the Club for contested marks.

He also spent some time in the VFL, playing for the Northern Blues where he was able to find consistency and kick a few bags.

HE SAID IT
“I just feel like I’m in a much better space. I’m a lot stronger and faster and aerobically, while I’m never going to be the best runner, my repeat speed and ability to make repeat efforts has improved enormously. I definitely haven’t played the best game I’ll play.”

- Liam Jones speaking to the Herald Sun in April before the Blues’ season-opener against the Tigers.

THEY SAID IT
"He needs now to put it (together) consistently, week in and week out. We believe if we get that right dynamic and structure up forward then we can pose a lot of problems for opposition sides."

- Rob Wiley, former Director of Coaching and Development, speaking about Jones ahead of the 2015 season.

SEASON HIGHLIGHT
Liam Jones played a pivotal role when the Northern Blues demolished the Dolphins in Round 11. The forward, who also spent time in the ruck, booted six goals and clunked 13 marks – eight of them contested, including two hangers. The match also marked the Northern Blues' highest VFA/VFL score against the Dolphins.
