The veteran became the first player since Chris Judd to achieve three consecutive top-three finishes in the John Nicholls Medal, playing every game as a permanent inside midfielder. The combative Curnow has undeniably been in a career-best stretch over the last three years, and in doing so has moved into the top 50 at the Blues for games played. Another 18 games in 2021 would see one of Carlton’s favourite sons reach the double century.
