Blake Acres arrived at IKON Park in the off-season of 2022 and quickly became a fan favourite in his first season in Navy Blue.
He had previously played 120 games across St Kilda and Fremantle, before adding another 48 for the Blues in 2023.
There’s no question about Acres’ ability to transition to Carlton, quickly becoming a mainstay of the side for the past two years. The 29-year-old was an integral cog in Carlton’s best 22, playing an important role on the wing alongside the likes of Matt Cottrell and Jaxon Binns, proving to be a leader on and off the field.
Acres underwent back surgery at the end of 2024 but has made a full recovery and was integrated into full training in January in 2025.
Late in the 2025 pre-season, Acres welcomed baby Hugo with partner Steph.
