AFLW clubs: Carlton
Carlton debut: Round 1, 2020
Recruited from: Richmond VFLW
Few players in the AFLW competition have had a more impressive opening two seasons than Carlton midfielder, Grace Egan. Playing a full complement of games in those seasons, the former Richmond VFLW player has taken to the competition like a duck to water. Just as likely to win the football at the coalface as she is to thwart her opposition with her tackle pressure, Egan - more commonly known as ‘Greg’ inside the four walls of IKON Park - is already part of the furniture on Royal Parade. After taking home Carlton’s Best First-Year Player award in 2020, Egan backed it up in 2021 — and there’s no reason why she can’t elevate her game even further in the year to come.
Draft history: 2019 NAB AFLW Draft 1st round selection, No.13 overall.
