CARLTON Football Club can confirm Jarrod Pickett fractured his scaphoid at training on Thursday afternoon.
The Blues forward sustained the fracture to his wrist at a training session, with scans this evening revealing the extent of the injury.
Head of Football Andrew McKay said the 21-year-old would undergo surgery tomorrow.
"Unfortunately, Jarrod sustained the injury late this evening and he immediately underwent scans," McKay said.
"At this stage, we believe Jarrod will be ruled out for the next three months.
"This is obviously very disappointing for Jarrod and the Club but we will fully support him in his recovery and we hope to see Jarrod back out there in the second half of the season."
