Ciaran Byrne will make his long-awaited return from injury when Carlton face the undefeated Gold Coast Suns on Saturday night at Metricon Stadium.
The Irishman was upgraded from the club's rookie list in 2015 and made his debut in Round 3 of the same year but suffered a hamstring injury which hampered the rest of his season.
Dylan Buckley and Mark Whiley have also been named in the side, while Andrejs Everitt (injured), Simon White (omitted) and Jed Lamb (injured) will be sidelined.
Meanwhile, Gold Coast has made one change, bolstering its midfield with the return of former Eagle Matt Rosa.
Rosa comes in for first-round draft pick Callum Ah Chee (illness).
