Carlton fans will be pleased to hear the Blues received a clean bill of health after their first NAB Challenge hitout with Hawthorn, although there were two minor injuries sustained at training during the week.
The Club has five players on its current injury list, with each player only a few weeks away.
Marc Murphy’s recovery from a shoulder injury is on schedule, with the captain looking to get a run in our third NAB Challenge match on March 11 against the Swans.
New recruits Lachie Plowman and Liam Sumner are both recovering from operations they had last year.
Unfortunately Dennis Armfield suffered a hamstring strain at training and will be sidelined for two weeks.
Reigning John Nicholls medallist Patrick Cripps sustained a knock to the knee in a training drill and has some bruising that will rule him out of Sunday’s game at Ikon Park.
Bioglan Injury Update
Armfield (hamstring) 2 weeks
Cripps (bruised knee) 1 week
Murphy (shoulder) 2 weeks
Plowman (hips) 3 weeks
