Carlton Vice-Captain Kade Simpson says his team will be seeking redemption when they take on Richmond at the MCG on Saturday.
The Blues went down to the Western Bulldogs by 28-points in Round 20 - in a performance that Simpson acknowledges was well below their best.
He says the focus is now on restoring pride.
"I think that's the good thing about football, you play badly one week and you only have to wait seven days before you can redeem yourself, and that's what the boys are looking to do this week.
"It's a big test for us. Richmond is in really good form, so there's no better chance for the boys to really stand up under some finals pressure and perform."
Simpson joined Carlton Captain Marc Murphy in addressing the team after Saturday's loss.
The pair spoke about effort and attitude, and implored their teammates to take a stand this weekend.
"We had an open forum for everyone to speak, not just the leaders," Simpson said.
"We got a few good things out of it, and hopefully we can put those things in place this weekend against Richmond."
