Troy Menzel, Tom Temay and Nicholas Graham - Carlton’s respective first, second and third round selections at the recent AFL National Draft - have wasted no time in acquainting themselves with their new surrounds at Visy Park, in the countdown to the 2012/13 pre-season campaign.
Through the course of Wednesday, the three draftees completed a 30-minute cycling session in the club’s altitude room (where Marc Murphy and Kade Simpson popped in to say hello), participated in a series of medical tests, posed for a Carlton photo shoot, lunched with newly-appointed Senior Coach Mick Malthouse and National Recruiting Manager Shane Rogers, then dined with newly-acquired teammates Lachie Henderson, Matthew Kreuzer, Luke Mitchell and Chris Yarran.
Menzel has since returned to his hometown of Adelaide to participate in his College’s Valedictory Dinner, but he and the two Victorians Temay and Graham will be back on deck next Monday when training commences at Visy Park.
